Segundo informação do Geek Tyrant, Stan Lee disse em um evento que Leonardo DiCaprio gostaria de interpretá-lo em um filme sobre a vida do escritor e que já conversou com o ator sobre isso: 

“Fazer um filme sobre a minha vida, com ele me interpretando… eu disse ‘não sei se você é bonito o suficiente. Vamos testá-lo, ver como você fica, não fique muito empolgado, vamos te informar se der certo'”, brincou Lee. 

Recentemente, surgiu o boato de que a DC estaria interessada em Leonardo DiCaprio interpretando o Coringa, em um filme produzido por Martin Scorsese – sem nenhuma confirmação até o momento.
