No dia 8 de abril vai acontecer a 32ª edição do GLAAD Media Awards, principal premiação LGBTQIA+ do mundo. 

Representando o Brasil, temos a artista Pabllo Vittar concorrendo na categoria de ‘Melhor Artista Musical’ pelo álbum ‘111’. Além disso, o filme ‘Alice Júnior’ da Netflix, disputa por ‘Melhor Telefilme’.

‘I May Destroy You’, ‘Com Amor, Victor’, ‘Sex Education’, ‘Big Mouth’ e ‘Supergirl’ são outras produções que estão concorrendo na premiação. 

A premiação também restituiu o Prêmio Barbara Gittings de Excelência Midiática LGBTQ+, que honra um grupo, comunidade de mídia ou indivíduo pioneiro que fez uma contribuição significante para o desenvolvimento e a representatividade queer. Em 2021, o homenageado será Windy City Times, jornal LGBTQ+ de Chicago estabelecido em 1985 por Jeff McCourtBob BeardenDrew BadanishTracy Baim.
