O MTV EMA 2020 (Europe Music Awards) aconteceu no domingo (08), em Budapeste, e teve as garotas do Little Mix como apresentadoras. Dentre os indicados, a cantora Pablo Vittar recebeu o prêmio de Melhor Artista Brasileiro. A artista ganhou pelo segundo ano consecutivo e concorreu contra Anitta, Djonga, Emicida e Ludmilla.
No mesmo estilo do VMA, devido à pandemia do Coronavírus, o EMA contou com uma plateia virtual e apresentações espalhadas pelo mundo todo. Nesse ano, o prêmio incluiu três novas categorias, sendo elas, Melhor Live Virtual, Melhor Artista Latino e Melhor Vídeo para uma Causa. Claro, além de Pablo Vittar ter superado Anitta.
Os destaques da premiação ficou para Lady Gaga, que venceu como Artista do Ano; e o grupo BTS, que levou quatro prêmios, sendo, Melhor Música, Melhor Grupo, Maiores Fãs e Melhor Live Virtual.
